Sketches of magazine - target audience

The target audience for my magazine is 16 to 25 year old girls  of all classes and races as I am making a hybrid magazine of music and fashion with added gossip. The magazine will be made to appeal to this audience so I will need to think about the types of music and stars I will include and hwo I can bring fashion into the magazine also.

The style of the magazine will have to appeal to them too and I will use female colours and female stars on the cover and contents page of the magazine.

This is my contents page that I have sketched out. This is what I would like my contents page to look like as it is something different and I havent really seen it in any magazines like this therefore I dont know if it will work but I will try it and if not change it to something more simple.

Fonts Research and planning

I have been on the website http://www.dafont.com/ and I have found many different fonts that I will be able to use in my magazines. These below are the ones that I have picked out for the title of my magazine.

As you can see most of the fonts that I have chosen for the title are very bold and simple. I have chosen these because you want the name of your magazine to stand out because you want it to be eye catching on the shelf. Also, it needs to stand out from everything else on the page.

Here are some other fonts that I might use on the front cover.

Mood Board - planning

This is the mood board that I have created. To create my mood board I looked through  different types of magazines looking for fonts, pictures and headings that I liked.

 As you can see i have used bright colours, I have done this because my genre is pop and it is always very vibrant and girl therefore I will need to use these type of colours in my magazine.

I also like the pictures that i have put on my mood board and when I do my photo shoot I will ask them to do some poses like this because I believe that they will work well in a pop magazine because they look very fun and will fit the band that are being photographed.

Costume plans -mise en scene

I am going to plan the outfits for the photo shot because then I will have a idea of what the pictures will be like. Also, the clothes that they wear will have to fit the sort of magazine that I am going to create. As I am doing a pop/fashion magazine I would like that outfits to be very fashionable and quite girly as i believe that the sort of people that will read my magazines are girly and will like these sorts of clothes.
